3. SUB + VERB + ADJ. – She is good. The man is honest.

4. SUB + VERB + ADV. – He plays well. You talk loudly. She sings sweetly.
5. SUB + VERB + OBJ. – I know him. He wrote a letter.
We can change Voice where there is Object in the sentence.
Object: If we ask the Main Verb with What / Whom, the answer we get is an Object.
Ans. 5. He is known to me. A letter was written by him.
Double Object: 1. Mr. John teaches us English.
Ans. We are taught English by Mr. John.
Or English is taught to us by Mr. John.
2. We selected Habib our captain.
Object Objective Complement
Ans. Habib was selected our captain by us. (Only one answer)
I. Rules of changing into Passive Voice.
• Subjective form of the object.
• Auxiliary Verb according to new subject & tense.
• Past Participle form of the Main Verb.
• Preposition by / to / in / with / at etc.
• Objective form of the subject.

II. Form of Auxiliary Verb in Passive Voice.
• Present Indefinite ----- am, is, are
• Present Continuous ---- am being, is being, are being
• Present Perfect ---- has been, have been
• Past Indefinite ------ was, were
• Past Continuous---was being, were being
• Past Perfect ------ had been
• Future Indefinite ------ shall be, will be
• Future Continuous ----- shall be being, will be being
• Future Perfect ---- shall have been, will have been
Exercise: 1. I don’t like rice. 2. I know the man. 3. He opened the door. 4. Speak the truth. 5. Rome was not built in a day.
Answer: 1. Rice is not liked by me. 2. The man is known to me. 3. The door was opened by him. 4. Let the truth be spoken. 5. The Romans / The people of Rome did not built Rome in a day.
