Unit-6, Lesson-2, Question No. 3 (Flow chart)
1. Read the following passage and make a flow chart mentioning wretched conditions of adolescent girls because of early marriage. (No. 1 has been done for you)
When adolescent girls are pulled out of school, either for marriage or work. They often lose their mobility, friends and social status. The lack of mobility among adolescent girls also curtails their economic and non-formal educational opportunities. Moreover, they lack information about health issues. According to a study, only about three in five adolescents have even heard of HIV. It is also reported that more than 50 percent of adolescent girls are undernourished and suffer from anemia. Adolescent fertility is also high in Bangladesh. The contribution of the adolescent fertility rate to the total fertility rate increased from 20.3% in 1993 to 24.4% in 2007. Moreover, neonatal mortality is another concern for younger mothers.

Unit-5, Lesson-3, Question No. 3 (Summary)
Write a summary of the following text.
He did for me the unnecessary thing, the gracious thing that we find done by the great of heart. Things no training can teach, for they are done on the instant with no predicated experience. He found a cubbyhole beside the fireplace that I had not noticed. There, of his own accord, he put kindling and medium wood so that I might always have dry fire material ready in case of sudden wet weather. A stone was loose in the rough walk to the cabin. He dug a deeper hole and steadied it although he came himself by a shortcut over the bank. I found that when I tried to return his thoughtfulness with such things as candy and apples, he was wordless. “Thank you” was, perhaps, an expression for which he had no use, for his courtesy was instinctive. He only would look at the gift and at me and a curtain lifted so that I saw deep into the clear well of his eyes and gratitude was there and affection, soft over the firm granite of his character.
Ans: The boy mentioned in the passage did some jobs for the writer; those things were not essential, but they were done out of grace. Those things are generally done at the moment of their appearance on the view and no previous training is necessary. Anyway, whenever the writer tried to offer him anything for his gracious jobs, he would remain silent. He would only look at the gift and at the writer. At such moments, the writer could find his soft gratitude lying on the firmness of his character.
