Right Forms of Verbs-এর Rule
Rule-5. কোন বাক্যে have has, had, get, got, being, having, to be-এর পরবর্তী verb এবং passive voice-এর verb past participle form হবে। যেমন-
Question: people like being (praise)
Answer: people like being praised.
Rule-6. কোন বাক্যে just, just now, recently, already, yet, ever, never-এর যেকোনটি থাকলে বাক্যটি present perfect tense হবে। যেমন-
Question: I not (see) him recently.
Answer: I have not seen him recently.
Rule-7. কোনো বাক্যে yesterday, ago, last ইত্যাদি অতীত নির্দেশক কোনো word থাকলে বাক্যটি past indefinite tense হবে। যেমন-
Question: We (visit) Sylhet last year.
Answer: We visited Sylhet last year.
Rule-8. No sooner had/Scarcely had দ্বারা বাক্য শুরু হলে-
Structure: No sooner had/scarcely had+Sub+V3+...than/when+sub+V2+ext. যেমন-
Question: No sooner had he (see) a thief, he began to shout.
Answer: No sooner had he seen a thief than he began to shout.

Rule-9. Since দ্বারা দুটি clause যুক্ত হলে এবং আগের clauseটি present indefinite/ present perfect tense হলে পরের clauseটি past indefinite tense হবে। অর্থাৎ present indefinite/ present perfect+ since+past indefinite. যেমন-
Question: Two years have passed since we (meet) last.
Answer: Two year have passed, since we met last.
Rule-10. Since দ্বারা দুটি clause যুক্ত হলে এবং আগের clauseটি past indefinite tense হলে পরবর্তী clause টি past perfect tense হবে। যেমন-
Question: It was five years since I (see) him last.
Answer: It was five years since I had seen him last.
Rule-11. দুটি অতীত ঘটনা before দ্বারা যুক্ত হলে সেই বাক্যের structure হবে-
Past Perfect Tense+ before + Past Indefinite Tense. Example-
Question: We (reach) the station before the train arrived.
Answer: We had reached the station before the train arrived.
Rule-12. দুটি অতীত ঘটনা after দ্বারা যুক্ত থাকলে সেই বাক্যের structure হবে-
Past Indefinite Tense + after + Past Perfect Tense.
Example: Question: They reached he station after the train ( leave) .
Answer: They reached the station after the train had left.
Rule-13. Would that দ্বারা কোন বাক্য শুরু হলে সেই বাক্যের structure হবে-
Would that + sub+ could base form of verb + extension.
Example:
Question: Would that I (fly) in the sky!
Answer: Would that I could fly in the sky!
Rule-14. Modal auxiliary- can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would, must, need, dare, ought to, used to এবং had better, had rather, would better, would rather, make ও let
এর পরবর্তী verb এর base ( মুল) form হবে। Example:
Question: 1. He had better (stay) home today.
Answer: He had better stay home today.
